Clouds of mist erupt from the base of two trees in this London water feature. The trees sit in a raised granite-edged pool in front of the Connaught Hotel in Mayfair. Atomisers hidden at the base of the trees create clouds of water vapour for fifteen seconds every fifteen minutes.

GIRL WITH DOLPHIN BY DAVID WYNNE
Standing in the shadow of London’s most famous bridge for almost 50 years, Girl with a Dolphin depicts a girl seemingly dancing with a dolphin. The girl’s brother can be found on Cheyne Walk in Chelsea, aptly named Boy with a Dolphin.

GLASS FOUNTAIN BY ALLEN DAVID
Hidden around the back of the Guildhall buildings in the City is this rather intriguing fountain, a mosaic of glass. Made by painter and glassworker extraordinaire Allen David, the abstract artwork features geometric shards of bluey-green glass.

VENUS FOUNTAIN BY GILBERT LEDWARD R.A
In the centre of Sloane Square, a life-sized bronze Venus kneels on top of a large vase, pouring water from a conch shell into an octagonal pool. This Venus is actually si¡ing on a relief of King Charles II and his mistress, Nell Gywnn, posing by the Thames. The King is picking fruit, while Cupid gets a couple of arrows ready to pierce the hearts of these lovers.
